Side Projects and Chronic Pain

Pain / Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015

In this video I am talking about the usefulness of side projects when coping with Chronic Pain, but still appropriately medicating and trying to cope well with exhaustion levels, by exercising as well as relaxing.

Off course nothing is perfect as I still fell off the wagon so to speak and had another little ‘retreat into my shell” session for a few hours last night. It can be very confronting sudden mood swings when they are a rare event and I find it is a little too easy to remain balanced.

It is very clear from reading others experiences at a Reddit Chronic Pain forum, that this is fairly typical to experience. It is uplifting to see others responses to request for help or advice and this is one really shining example I by chance found just minutes ago,

I’ve been dealing with this since I was seventeen. I am now 80 years old. Let me tell you life is worth living. It gets really tough sometimes and you just want it to end but you can get through it. Live your life to the fullest as much as possible. Build good memories. The pain doesn’t seem to matter in hindsight. The good memories are what you remember. So bite the bullet, get whatever help you can for the pain and live life like you mean it. There are people out there that will love you and people you may be able to help. It’s a great ride so sit down, shut up and hang on. All the best to you my friend.
